Actor
Thalaivasal Vijay has just wrapped up the shoot for his next Hindi film, directed by
Shirsha Guha Thakurta. The yet-to-be-titled film, which is said to be a take on modern-day relationships, has an ensemble cast comprising
Vidya Balan,
Pratik Gandhi, Ileana D' Cruz and Sendhil Ramamurthy along with Thalaivasal Vijay.
Talking about his character in the film, Thalaivasal Vijay says, “I play Vidya Balan’s father, who is irascible and a difficult person to deal with.
A major part of the film revolves around the relationship between the father and daughter. I found Vidya to be an extremely cool person to work with. I had seen her performance in Tumhari Sulu, Shakuntala Devi and The Dirty Picture and was mighty impressed. Since Vidya has her roots in Palakkad and I have done many Malayalam films, we had a lot to talk about. We recently wrapped up the shoot in Ooty.”
Thalaivasal Vijay says that he thoroughly enjoyed working in the film, especially the portions in Mumbai. “For Junglee and Bell Bottom, I had predominantly shot in Thailand and Scotland respectively. So, I was looking forward to shooting in Mumbai and enjoyed every bit of it.”
